Cameo
Cameo is a versatile and passionate vocalist who performs an impressive range of genres, including pop, rock, country, and more. With a repertoire that spans from the 1970s to present-day hits, she brings a unique energy to every performance, connecting with audiences across generations.
Often likened to a young Kate Bush, singer-songwriter Cameo Williams is drawn to the expressive, vulnerable nature of songwriting, creating work that feels both intimate and immersive. Learning piano and guitar from the age of 11, Cameo found early solace in rhythm and melody, using music as a space to tell stories and explore emotion. This instinct for connection has shaped not only her songwriting but also her stage presence, which she has carefully honed through live performance across radio sessions, festivals, and televised appearances.
Her original material blends alternative rock, dream pop, and shoegaze, balancing atmosphere with emotional clarity. She has been consistently championed by BBC Introducing, earning ‘Artist of the Week’ for her single Blue Skies and appearing on air to discuss her music and creative direction.
In 2020, Cameo gained national exposure on ITV’s The Voice UK, where she caught the attention of Olly Murs and Sir Tom Jones, who praised her “special gift", taking her through to the Knockout rounds. She continues to perform regularly across local venues and recently opened for Sonny Tennet on his UK tour. With new material always in development, Cameo remains focused on releasing music that is honest, cinematic, and deeply felt.
